McPherson Farm

Description
During the Battle of Gettysburg, McPherson Farm was witness to intense fighting between the Pennsylvania Bucktails and the Confederate Army. The Bucktails' infamous Color Episode of the 149th PA Regiment took place during the fighting as over 800 of roughly 1300 Bucktails were killed, wounded, or missing. Days after the fighting, the farm became a hospital caring for both Union and Confederate soldiers. Here, a hawk is perched on the ridge of the barn looking out at where The Color Episode took place. All prints arrive unsigned.
